Day Twenty-Four

Today was very high-action on all fronts. I had my educational event today during lunch, and throughout the day prior to it, I requested friends and peers to come, letting them know what to look forward to. Additionally, the admin member I’d contacted the previous day (Day Twenty-Three) posted the update, getting the word out even further. These factors combined gave me a fairly high turnout: roughly fifteen people showed up! Some things didn’t go according to plan (for example, tech issues and long lunch lines caused us to start after 12:15), but I managed to navigate the changes appropriately and thought it went smoothly overall.

I also responded to the email that my English teacher (whom I had requested to edit my article) had sent me yesterday (Day Twenty-Three), letting me know that she had made the edits and offering an interview opportunity. I responded that, unfortunately, due to the time constraint posed by only having six days remaining in the project, I would not be able to take the interview. I did, however, appreciate the valuable advice and set about implementing some of them today. Once more, I interacted with AI in a constructive way, using it for advice on flow, tone, professionalism, etc. while making sure it didn’t write any of the article itself to conserve my own voice.

Finally, I made my third social media post, letting people know that there was less than a week left to donate. Once more, I used a catchy quote from my interview with CFRI to draw people in, then encouraged them to visit the link in my bio to contribute before time was up.

Today’s Fundraising Status: $400 🪺
