Day Twenty-Three
Today was once more centered around my article and educational opportunity. I spoke with the admin member about switching to lunch on Tuesday, which turned out to be optimal because the conference rooms I’d wanted to use were unavailable today, but one is available tomorrow. At middle school announcements, I let everyone know that I’d have an event tomorrow and where it would be, starting at 12:15 and involving a Blooket (as well as candy for the winners). In the vein of promoting knowledge about this, I requested another admin member to publish the post I’d drafted on Day Eighteen (after making some minor modifications and including the location that I’d finalized today).
I also had to get everything set up for the event. I wanted to be able to convey information without being overly verbose and while keeping people engaged, so I spoke to a friend, who gave me an idea: putting questions between different subtopics, and giving candy to those who answered them correctly. I also wrote part of my script in the presenter notes section and created a ten-question Blooket.
Finally, I sent my article to my social studies teacher as well, requesting edits so that as many eyes as possible could look over it before I submit it.
