Day Twenty-Six

Today, I did mostly surface-level work (given that all of the in-depth tasks have more or less been completed!) There are fewer than five days left until I close my fundraiser, so I sent a message in group chats with some of my peers and friends, letting them know that time was ticking and requesting them to donate or share if they hadn’t already.

In terms of my article, I received responses to two of the emails I’d sent to my three interviewees yesterday, requesting consent for the quotes from our meetings that I’d used in the piece. One congratulated me, and I responded to confirm whether the quotes I’d used were all right with her. The other said that everything looked acceptable on the whole but recommended some minor grammatical edits (dehyphenate/capitalize certain words). I am still waiting on a response from my third interviewee and will follow up after school tomorrow if I don’t hear anything by then.

Finally, I proofread my article once more. I didn’t make any structural changes but did make some minor edits (fixing grammar errors, redundant words or phrases, whether it flowed well, etc.)
